Ms. Jackman was born in Andalusia, Alabama, in 1977. She graduated from Auburn University in 1999 with a B.S. in Business Administration/Finance. She attended the University of Alabama School of Law, where she served on the Alabama Law Review and graduated in 2002.

Ms. Jackman practices in the areas of health care law, business transactions, mergers and aquisitions, intellectual property, and corporate and business organizations. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the Alabama State Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association.
