Larry Logsdon joined Wallace, Jordan, Ratliff & Brandt in 1997. He practices in the area of general commercial litigation and has represented general contractors, subcontractors, owners, and suppliers involved in all aspects of the construction industry.
Larry was selected to the Birmingham Business Journal’s Best of the Bar for Construction Law and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, all Alabama federal district courts, and all Alabama state courts. He is an associate member of the American Subcontractor’s Association and the Association of General Contractors
Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Larry attended the University of Alabama. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing in 1987. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1992. Larry was honored with induction into the Order of the Coif and served as a senior editor of the Alabama Law Review

Recent Cases
- January 2011 -- Represented subcontractor in international arbitration with contractor related to construction project in Mexico. Obtained seven figure award and defended multi-million dollar claim by contractor against subcontractor for back charges, delay damages, and liquidated damages.
- November 2010 -- Obtained favorable judgment in favor of contractor in arbitration in claim for amounts owed for construction work at hotel in Georgia.
- August 2010 -- Represented contractor in jury trial in claim for amounts owed where owner was seeking significant amounts against contractor for construction defects. Obtained verdict for full amount of principal value claimed.
- April 2009 -- Represented contractor and received favorable arbitration award of substantially all amounts asked for in case involving claims for amounts due under contract and for disputed change orders.

August 2009 -- Obtained “defense” or zero verdict defending general contractor in case involving claims against contractor for construction defects, moisture intrusion and mold.
- May 2008 -- Received an approximately half million dollar arbitration award for claim of amounts owing on a commercial construction project.
- September 2007 -- Represented contractor and obtained a six-figure award in arbitration in case seeking damages on commercial construction project in connection with claims for retainage, inefficiency, delay and acceleration damages.
