state and local governments. In the area of constitutional law, the
firm's practice involves primarily:
- voting rights and redistricting issues
- discrimination and civil rights issues
- pro-life or abortion issues
- First Amendment religion (free exercise and establishment) clauses
- First Amendment free speech issues
The firm's practice in the area of election law
overlaps to some degree with the constitutional law practice and
also includes practice areas relating to:
- the federal Voting Right Act
- state and local election laws
- representation of political parties
- advising candidates on campaign and finance issues
- election contests
- voter fraud
The firm also practices in areas concerning local
governmental entities,and has both represented and litigated against
cities, counties and local boards and authorities on numerous issues
