The firm has a substantial practice in the areas of insurance law and commercial litigation. In the area of insurance, the firm represents insurance companies, agents and insureds in state and federal court with regard to policy coverage issues, defending insureds against covered claims and defending bad faith claims and other first party claims against insurers.
In the area of commercial litigation, the firm represents large and small businesses and individuals in disputes over matters which arise out of business, commercial and consumer transactions such as contract disputes, negligence, fraud and other tort claims, consumer disputes, intentional interference with business relationships, collection of debts, creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and other business issues. In addition to the above practice areas, the firm represents a number of contractors, subcontractors, automobile dealerships and manufactured housing manufacturers.
The firm also practices in the area of employee benefits/ERISA, including ERISA subrogation and mass tort subrogation, which involves aspects of insurance law.
